About Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. on October 18, 1979 in Camden, Arkansas, is an American pop and R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor. In 2006, he released his first album, 'In My Own Words,' under the Def Jam Label. Since then, he has released three more albums, 'Because of You,' 'Year of the Gentleman,' and 'Libra Scale.' In 2009, Billboard ranked him as the 57th Artist of the 2000s decade. Ne-Yo stars in the 2012 action film, 'Red Tails.'
