Do banks give out temporary debit cards?
Some banks do have temporary debit cards that they will issue until your permanent card comes in. Some of the banks who will do this are Bank of America, U.S. Bank and Chase. ChaCha

No, most of the time you do not get a temporary debit card. Cards are usually issued within 10 days of opening the account.
