Yes, you can feed goldfish food that is meant for tropical fish! They dont have much of a different diet and tropical fish food is good for them. Fresh vegetables and bits of chopped up shrimp are very good for them also.

Fish are cold-blooded aquatic vertebrates. Fish are also one of the most commonly consumed foods in the world. They are an excellent source of protein, low in fat, and one of the best sources for omega-3 fatty acids. About Tropical Fish
The term tropical fish can refer to any number of brightly colored fish that come from tropical environments. Tropical fish are favorites for fish-keepers and ichthyophiles because of their bright coloration, and huge variety of shapes and sizes. Freshwater tropical fish usually get their coloration from iridescence, whereas tropical marine (salt-water) fish get their bright colors from pigmentation.
