Do renters have the right to withhold rent in north carolina if the landlord will not exterminate a mold problem in the apartment?
A tenant cannot unilaterally withhold rent from a landlord who fails to make required repairs. My family actually had the same problem and there was nothing we could do but break the lease, move out, and lose our deposit. Good luck. ChaCha on!
