Bit of an idiosyncrasy, isn't it? But yes, vegetarians eat animal crackers the same way humans eat gingerbread men. Vegans or PETA members, on the other hand, are a different story. Who knows how they feel about the symbolism! ChaCha real smooth!

Not only are animal crackers vegetarian, but the Nabisco brand ones are vegan. It's the non-animal alternative to animals!
