Yes, I'd blame MacDuff for abandoning his family. Macduff fled Scotland to escape the tyranny of Macbeth; while he was gone, MacBeth had MacDuff's family murdered. His wife, Lady MacDuff, says before her death that her husband's a traitor & a coward.
