Do you have to have a passport to go to Canada?
As of June 1, 2009, everyone from every country that comes to Canada by air, land and sea needs a passport or equivalent document. This includes Mexico too.

By air or from a third country you do need a passport, but sea and car travel may only need ID. Just to be safe have a passport.
