Do you put the egg in before the water boils or after it starts to make a hard boiled egg?
Like cooking potatoes, you want to put the egg in the water when it is still cold so it cooks evenly as the water is slowly heated to a boil. ChaCha!

Hard water has a high concentrate of minerals like calcium and magnesium. Hard water is rarely bad for ones health, but it can really muck up industrial applications and make your shower heads and faucets look kinda gross. If you are not sure if your water is hard, try agitating some soap in a water sample. If it gets nice and foamy, your water is soft.
