I think that the media has a very heavy influence on the people, as they tend to play on the gullibility of the general population. While there were many opposing views on the Vietnam War, it is hard to say that media reported strictly facts from Vietnam. I feel like people would still know about the war, but they would probably take a different stance on it without media.
