About Obama
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States, and the first African American president. Born in Hawaii, he is a United States citizen, although he exprienced other cultures as a youth, living with his mother in Indonesia, for example. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law school.
About Approval Rating
An approval rating is a percentage determined by a poll which indicates the percentage of respondents who approve of a particular person or program. Presidential job approval ratings were introduced by George Gallup in the late 1930s to gauge public support for the President of the United States during his time in office.
About Barack Obama
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States, and the first African American president of the United States. He was born in Hawaii, where he went to high school. He started his undergraduate studies in Los Angeles but soon transferred to Columbia University in New York City, where he graduated. He worked for awhile as a community organizer in Chicago, then entered Harvard Law where he was Editor of the Law Review. A stint as an Illinois State Senator, then a U.S. Senator from Illinois, was followed by his nomination and election as President in 2008.
