Does a person sitting in the backseat have to wear a seat belt in the state of Ohio?
Ohio law requires all front seat motor vehicle occupants to wear a seatbelt. So if you are in the backseat you don't have to wear a seat belt but if the car crashes you are going to be an object in motion.
