Does a tree have a heart?

Rate This Answer

Plants do not have a heart or bloodstream the way that we do. They do however need to transfer nutrients to various parts of their "body" in the same way as an animal or person. As sunshine feeds the plant above, and minerals in the soil feed the roots below, the plant must benefit throughout. It is sap which acts as a bloodstream to the plant, allowing it to grow, and to produce it's function the way that it does. ChaCha!
