Does baking soda make fire ants explode?
Baking soda can kill fire ants, but only when used in combination with an acid like vinegar. The reaction between the soda and the vinegar produces a lot of heat, which kills the ants. Some people recommend putting baking soda on the mound, then pouring vinegar over to create the reaction. Be careful when handling any chemicals. Thanks for using ChaCha!
