Some say that the crystals that you can get from health food shops that people use as deodorant get rid of cold sores, you just wet the crystal and rub it on the cold sore, it dries it up really quickly cause of all the salts in it.

About Herpes
Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1, or most commonly, type 2. Most people show no, or minimal symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When the symptoms do appear, it’s usually as blisters on or around the genitals and rectum. The blisters soon break, leaving sores that can take up to a month to heal the first time the occur. More outbreaks can occur months after the first, but are usually shorter and less severe. It is still possible to spread herpes between outbreaks. For this reason, it is imperative that persons infected with herpes always take precautions like wearing a condom to prevent the spread of the disease.
