Bed mites are not bed bugs, well they are bugs that live in your mattress, but they are not bed bugs in the sense that you're probably thinking about. Bed mites are dust mites that live in mattresses and bedding. They are microscopic bugs that feed on dead skin cells shed by humans and pets. Depending on how long you have your mattress, it could get several pounds heavier because of of the dust mites, dead dust mites, their poo poo and your shed skin cells. Gross huh?
