Does it hurt to gauge your ears?
If done properly, gauging should not be painful, and it should not cause your ear to bleed or tear. Buy a pair of earrings that are one size larger than your piercing. If your current gauge is 20, purchase 18 gauge ringsetc.

About Ear Gauge
Gauging is the same thing as stretching ears. Typically when an ear is stretched, it is done on the lobe. However, people can stretch any piercing. In terms of the actual gauge, the smaller the number of a gauge, the bigger the jewelery. Up to size 00, the ear will heal fully once the jewelery is removed.
