Does mosquitoes have maggots?
No, mosquitoes are too small to host maggots. Malaria is caused by any one of four species of one-celled parasites, called Plasmodium that do infect mosquitos.

About Malaria
If someone had to describe Malaria in one word, it would be either brutal, or mosquitos. Both would be right. The disease is spread by mosquitos; and a brutal and indiscriminate killer for the last 50,000 years. It has killed world leaders, brought down empires, and decided wars. It plagued American and Japanese troops in the Pacific theater and workers constructing the Panama Canal. Alexander the Great, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Gandhi contracted malaria a few times. Heck, even Anderson Cooper, Chris Mathhews and George Clooney have contracted malaria.
