Does phytoplankton get filtered out of a saltwater aquarium in a power filter canister filter or protien skimmer?
If you use a protein skimmer in a reef-only or reef and fish tank, you will want to take the trace elements into consideration as well as turn it off for a few hours each time you introduce phytoplankton.
