About Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer. Studying at the High School for Art and Design in New York and later Parsons School of Design, Jacobs began his career in fashion as a stock boy at Charivari boutique in New York. After being laid off as a designer for Perry Ellis, Jacobs launched his first collection in 1994. Maintaining his own company, Jacobs became the creative director for luxury bag company Louis Vuitton in 1997. After the success of his first line, Jacobs launched a second line, Marc by Marc Jacobs, in 2001.
