Does soil have oxygen?
Yes. Air in the soil is made of the same gases as the air in the atmosphere. Air doesn't move as freely in the soil so there may be too much or too little of certain gases in parts of the soil. Plant roots need oxygen to absorb water and nutrients. The lack of oxygen limits how deep roots can grow.
