Does taking ibuprophin help shorten your periods?
Ibuprofen is not indicated as effective at shortening menstrual periods. However, Naproxen, Aspirin, and Ibuprofen may help relieve pain and cramping associated with menstruation by short-circuiting the production of pain-causing chemicals called prostaglandins that are involved in muscle contractions. Medications work best if taken before or as soon as cramps hit. ChaCha!
