Does the iPhone 4 g need a Sim card?
All AT&T mobile phones use sim cards. The iPhone is unique in that it is much harder to access the internal sim card than it is for most other phones. Thanks for using ChaCha!

About Sim Card
The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is what identifies the user to the phone network. Without a SIM card, the phone will be unable to connect to a network and will be unusable with the exception of calling the 911 emergency phone number.
