Does the judge in a divorce case get part of the lawyer's fees?
A judge absolutely cannot get part of the lawyers fees in a divorce case. However, the court charges filing and other fees in divorces. Your attorney may collect these fees from you either upfront or after he/she has already paid them to the court. This is money that is used to support the court system and does not go directly to the judge.
