Does the Mojave Desert get cold at night?

Desert The climate in the Mojave Desert is hot in the summer and often much cooler when the sun goes down (outside of the city - where there is no concrete or asphalt to hold the heat). In the winter, the temperature often stays below freezing at night but warms up to a comparatively comfortable temperature in the day. ChaCha!
