About Vaginitis
Vaginitis, or vulvavaginitis, is a general term for the inflammation of the vulva and the vagina. It is very common and can be caused by bacteria, yeast, viruses, or other parasites; and it can be caused by some sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). A yeast infection is the most common form of vaginitis.
About Yeast Infection
A yeast infection is a fungal infection caused by any of the candida species of yeast. The infections are usually minor. However, if you have a weakened immune system, they can be potentially life threatening. Yeast infections cause local inflammation and discomfort, itching. burning, soreness, and sometimes a grayish cottage cheese like discharge is present. Male yeast infections are possible but uncommon.

Bacteria are single celled organisms found in every habitat on Earth, growing in soil, acidic hot springs, radioactive waste, water, and deep in the Earth's crust, as well as in organic matter and the live bodies of plants and animals. Some bacteria cause disease but others are essential to the human body. For example, bacteria in the digestion system, help in the healthful digestion of food. Sometimes trying to get bacteria out of one place in your body can cause problems in another.
