Explain why a lunar eclipse does not occur every time the moon revolves around earth in its monthly orbit?

Moon Solar eclipses occur when a new moon, the Sun and Earth are in a straight line. The solar eclipse does not occur on every new moon day because the orbits of the three bodies don't occur on the same plane angle. ChaCha!
