Filing taxes over the telephone?
The due date to file your federal income tax is April 18th this year, the due date for state income tax is April 15th. If you know you can't do it in time you can file for an extenstion but this has to be turned in by April 15th too. If you must file late the last day you may efile is October 17, 2011. About Taxes
Taxes are a financial charge or other levy upon a taxpayer by a governing body. Taxes are used to carry out functions of the state and cover costs. Taxes are also the result of citizens demands for accountable representation.
About April 15th
April 15th is the day by which all taxpayers must file their taxes with the state and federal governments. Exemptions are fairly easy to obtain, however. An exemption allows taxes to be paid at some specified later time, usually within the next quarter.
