Has a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float ever fell into the crowd?
There has never been a float accident at the Macy's parade, but there have been balloons that have gone into the crowd as well as a lighting fixture that fell in 2005. No one has been seriously injured.

About Thanksgiving Day Parade
Every year thousands of people gather to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, both in New York and at home in front of their TV's. Since 1927, the giant character balloons are slowly blown up and brought to life in the streets around the American Museum of Natural History. The enormous balloons take up two full city blocks. 2010 marks the 84th Anniversary of the Annual Event and can be watched on NBC.
