Has hawaii been hit by the tsunami?
The massive 8.9 magnitute earthquake that struck off shore of Japan caused a tsunami to rush outwards to dozens of countries including the US. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says that Hawaii was struck on 3/11/11 by a tsunami just after 3AM local time. Waves were considerably smaller than in Japan reaching approximately 7ft high. The harbors and low roadways were the worst hit. No serious injuries or home damage have been reported. Go ChaCha!
