Has there ever been a woman to play in the MLB?
As of the end of the 2011 MLB season, there has not been a female player on any MLB team. There was a women's professional league from 1943-54 called the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) was started by Philip Wrigley, owner of Chicago Cubs and Wrigley's Chewing Gum.
