How are ross over frequencies related to linkage maps?
The higher the crossover frequency, the further away the genes are on the linkage map. (Think about it, if genes are far away on the chromosome, it is more likely a crossover will happen between them, whereas 2 genes right next to each other will have a low chance of a crossover between them).
