How are the by-products of methane production used?
Methane is combustible: 5-15% in air are explosive. Methane, a byproduct of natural gas drilling & of rice cultivation, is 20 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. Methane is used for electrical generation by burning it as a fuel

About Greenhouse Gas
Greenhouse gasses are gasses that trap heat and infrared radiation in the atmosphere. On Earth they include water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and ozone. Even with the level of greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere rising, at least we don't look like Venus with temperatures in the 400 - 800 degree Fahrenheit range.
