How are the teachings of Christianity different from other monotheistic religions?
Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus, who is the son of God. Judaism is the original monotheistic religion, using the Torah or the Old Testament. Islam is based on the final prophet Muhammad and the teachings in the Quran.

About Christianity
Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. It began as a sect of Judaism in the middle of the first century, but split after suffering persecution from Jews and the Roman government. Christianity remained a persecuted religion until 313 AD, then became the official religion of the Roman Empire in 380 AD. Christianity spread in the coming centuries, and suffered two major schisms - once in 1054 AD between the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church, and again in the 16th century during the Protestant Reformation. Worldwide, Christianity has over two billion adherants, is the largest religion in the world, and is the official religion of several countries.
