About Kansas
Kansas is a state in the Midwestern United States bordered by Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The state has three climatic regions. The eastern and central portion of the state have a humid continental climate while the western part has a semiarid steppe climate. Temperatures are usually very hot in the summer with low humidity with warm and sometimes very cold winters.
About Population
The United States collects census data every 10 years to find the population of cities and states. This information helps cities and states to plan and budget as well as determine what types of services are needed in a region. One of the most important things the census helps to determine is how many total seats in the House of Representatives each state gets.
