About Mountains
A mountain is a vertical landform that is the result of a collision between the Earth's plates. The tallest mountain in the world is Mount Everest.
About North Carolina
North Carolina is found in the Southeast region of the United States. It is bordered to the north by Virginia, to the south by South Carolina and Georgia, to the west by Tennessee and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. The climate of North Carolina is humid and sub-tropical. The winters are generally mild with average temperatures in the upper 40’s, lower 50’s. The summers are long and humid with average temperatures in the 90’s. The region often experiences hurricanes.
