How can chickens and turkeys have identical cytochrome-c and still be different species?
Chickens and turkeys might have evolved from a common ancestor and so have the same amino acid sequences for cytochrome-c.However, because they cannot interbreed and produce fertile offspring, they are considered to be different species. ChaCha!
