How can i identify a pine tree?
First, find out if the tree is an evergreen. Pines don't lose their leaves in winter. Examine the leaves and determine if they are thin and needle shaped which connect to the base of the tree in groups of 2 to 5 needles. Pine trees also produce cones which vary in size and shape. Pines also produce a lot of resinous sap that smells very strongly of pine, like a Christmas tree.
