About Cheese
Cheese is a generic term for a diverse group of milk-based food products. It consists of proteins and fat from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep. Hundreds of types of cheese exist and their styles, textures, and flavors depend on the origin of the milk, whether they have been pasteurized, the butterfat content, the bacteria and mold, the processing, and aging.
About Milk
Milk is a white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is produced to provide food for the young before they are able to digest other foods. Milk also serves as a way for the mother to pass on immunities and antibodies to her young. What milk actually contains depends on the animal it comes from, but most milk contains protein, saturated fats, vitamin C and calcium. In most western societies, cow's milk is the most prevalent.
