How can Lou Gehrig's decease be prevented?
Lou Gehrig's disease, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, can't be prevented. Up to 10% of ALS cases are inherited; in vast majority of cases, doctors don't know why it strikes. Symptoms of ALS include footdrop, weakness in leg, feet, ankles or hand.
