How can prokaryote be Identified?
Prokaryotes lack a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles with membranes. They have a nucleoid region where the DNA is found. There are no mitochondria, chloroplasts, or other membrane-bound organelles in the cytoplasm, but there are ribosomes.
