How can you tell if a cylinder head is warped?
Did you visually inspect it for any cracks? If it was only slightly warped the thicker gasket should have given you a better seal. I would stop at a local job shop and ask them to drag an indicator across the face of it. It'll only take a minute or two, I doubt they'd even charge you. They may even be able to mill it flat again on a bridgeport for a minimal amount of money, it's an easy set-up. ChaCha ON!
