How come the chat application for facebook won't work on my Android?
Your phone should be able to handle a facebook chat with a variety of apps. One free one is called g chat or Go Chat. If you're still having trouble even with the correct app you may need to reset your phone, or move to a better coverage area. If all else fails, tech support is offered free through your service provider. Good Luck and ChaCha again.

About Android
Android is an operating system (OS) for smartphones. Android was purchased by Google in 2005, and is based on a modified version of the open source Linux kernel. The Android system was designed to compete with Apple iOS and has since passed iOS in terms of market share.
