How deep are the hudson, mississippi, nile, amazon, and congo rivers?
The lower Hudson river is maintained at a depth of at least 32 feet for commercial traffic from the Port of Albany to New York City, including under the George Washington Bridge. It is as deep as 200 feet in places around Manhattan and New Jersey. At its headwaters, the Mississippi is less than 3 feet deep. The river's deepest section is 200 feet deep.
