Buddy Holly, born 9/7/36 in Texas, was a singer/songwriter and is considered one of the pioneers of rock + roll. His works inspired such artists as The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. He released several singles and three studio albums (1 under his name, 1 with Chriping Crickets + 1 with That'll Be The Day). He died in a plane crash @ age 22 on 2/3/59.
