How did hawaii become a state?

Rate This Answer

Hawaii was a crucial help to the United States during World War II and the attack of Pearl Harbor and it's economy grew enormously due to supplying the US with sugar and pinneapple. Following the war's end in 1945, the state took a long journey toward statehood. On August 21, 1959, Hawaii was admitted to the union as our 50th state.
