How did hockey originate?
Games played with curved sticks & a ball have been found throughout history & the world. There are 4000-year-old drawings from Egypt. Hurling dates to before 1272 BC in Ireland, and there is a depiction from 600 BC in Greece where the game was played with a horn or horn-like stick. In China, people have been playing beikou, similar to field hockey, for about 1000 years.
