Cold War The Suez Crisis, which took place at the same time as the Hungarian Uprising, was considered far more important. It was fought by Britain, France & Israel against Egypt October 1956. Suez Crises actually raised tensions during Cold War between US & Great Britain because Eisenhower did not want to be seen as a bully against a nation that probably could not protect itself.
