How did imperialism affect Vietnam?
Vietnam was originally a French colony, but following WW2 many colonies gained (or fought for) independence, amongst these was Vietnam. Imperialism can be seen as one of the root causes of the Vietnam War. ChaCha!

Imperialism is a political theory which dictates or in practice creates an expansionist empire with domination at its base. Though empires which cover the most geography are most often called imperialist, imperialism also exists in the realm of ideas, including cultures, values, and religions.
About Vietnam War
The Vietnam War was a Cold War conflict between the South Vietnamese Viet Cong and their Communist allies and North Vietnam and the U.S.-led anti-communist allies. The Vietnam War began November 1st, 1955 and ended on April 30th, 1975 with the fall of Saigon, the South Vietnamese capitol.
