How did the goals of the U.S. and Soviet foreign policy differ after World War 2?
Following World War II, the US entered into a prolonged conflict with the Soviet Union known as the Cold War. The US practiced democracy and capitalism & the Soviet Union was a Communist country ruled by a dictator. Post-war, the Soviet Union wanted to spread Communism to other countries, & the US wanted to contain it within the countries where it already existed. ChaCha on!
