How did the issues surrounding East and West Germany contribute to cold war tensions between United States and the Soviet Union?
The Soviet Union blockaded all surface transport into West Berlin in June 1948. In June 1948 the Soviets blocked all ways into the western part of Berlin, Germany. This made the US send food to them, escalating tensions. ChaCha!
